Now I am hearing that there were two....Andrew F who married Mary Jane WINTERS and Andrew J (son of Isaiah) who married Martha WEB. This according to Dave Roper. Have you run across anything new......... Any clue as to parents of Andrew F? Looks to me like researchers have been confusing these two for a long time. Could they be the same person and 2 marriages since the marriage to Mary Jane took place when he was abt. 29-30. Thanks for your help........Melba Johnson

    3. Write and get a copy of her death certificate. You'll probably learn her father's name and mother's maiden name and get some good hints on other places to look. Also look on the 1900 and 1910 censuses for info on her. I have a little info on a Nathaniel Buchanan, not sure if it's your guy or not: The 1860 Census for Watauga County NC dwellign 294 family 247: Simeon Buchanan b abt 1832 Margarett b abt 1839 in Tennessee Children: Winfield S Buchanan b abt 1855 Delbert W Buchanan b abt 1857 Nathaniel Buchanan b 1860 (age 3/12 on census) The census shows the mother born in Tennessee and then all dittos beneath it, but that particular census taker appears to have used ditto for North Carolina, regardless of what was listed immediately above the ditto marks.
