His yg wife, Mrtha Wainscott Noland d in childbirth, his son Robert b 12 Sept 1844 did not survive. Fall of 1844 to Independence, Mo met and married Eliz Ann Crittendon who was from TN. eliz relative of early Govenors of Mo. To Laclede Co, settled Salem, E of Conway, raised 12 ch. Members Salem Methodist church. CH; Pleasant Chaffin, 1846-1907 William henry 1847-1928 Sarah Rachel 18j49-1929 Martha Adeline 1851-1851 Margaret Jane, 1853-1884 Nancy Ellen, 1856-1881 Frank Marion 1858-? George Washington, 1858-1929 Stepehen Thomas 1863-1922 Matilda Caroline 1865-? Alice Ermina 1870-1922 Geo & Frank twins, Martha d infancy. Stepehen and oldest son Ples enlisted in Union army, Civil War. Stephen member of Masonic order, after Eliz died Dec 1873 he m Eliz Jane Price Mr. Noland d Feb 1899, laid to rest, Salem Cemetery east of Conway, best his wf Eliz. 2nd wf Jane buried Graham cemetery west of Conway.
