I am also interested in the Yates family. I have an Anna Yates b. abt 1808 in NC, married Elijah wilcoxen (Wilcox) who was born in Ashe Co. NC in 1806. They appear in the Wilkes Co. Census 1840 through 1860. Could not find them in 1870. I believe Anna died between 1860-1862. Would she fit in with your Yate's?
