Have tried for years to find the marriage record of William and Celia YATES. At least her maiden name. They were in Ashe/Wilkes Co Nc. their oldest child born there 1800. By 1804 they were in Lee Co Va. by 1824 Jackson Co Mo. William died Andrew Co. 1845. there was a Joshua Yates in Wilkes Co who was a loyalist. think he was connected.
