William Thomas Murrell and his wife Willie Cato Murrell m Davidson Co TN, May 31, 1806. 4 ch: oldest dau Maria m Eli Rippee, Dred B. m Sally Balleu, Jabz B. m Mary Mosier, John A Murrell m Margaret, gr dau of Jesse Balleu bringing Cherokee Indian blood into the Murrell generations. to this union 13 ch. William Murrell b Va ca 1783 d Laclede Co 6 Jan 1851, m Willie ann Cato dau of Roland Cato...etc.. Other deeds, etc to William in Davidson and Sumner Cos TN where they lived. Wm. lost his land in TN failure to repay a debt, moved to Mo along with the Rippys, around 1835. His widow applied for bounty land because of his service, war of 1812. Their dau Mariah b 1812 m Eli Rippy,m 4 Nov 1826, Sunmner Co Tn, ch listed. Francis M., Mary E., Louisa Jane who m Thomas L. Kincheloe and Sarah Ann. Article on Gabe Ramey-lots of info- he was b 1866 Ky, d 23 June 1938 near Abo, laclede Co. 6th son of Edmund Price Ramey Sr and Evaline Hughes both b Ky. down a paragraph or so: Gabriel Ramey remained in mo and lived near Abo. He m first Nancy rippy and 2nd Mary Hendrix. He and Nancy had 3 ch, one grew to manhood. one d yg. much more on ch, etc. This article on Wilson-Meredith Wilson b Dec 1800, Nc , Dec 1861, Laclede Co. his wife, Clarrisa, last name unk, b 1804, d 1882, they lived Morgan co TN, then to Laclede Co before 1840 Their ch: James W. Wilson b 30 Nov 1823 d 13 July 1896 m Willy ann Rippy b 2 Sept 1828 d 18 Feb 1887 dau of Mariah Murrell and Eli rippy. lists their ch. there are probably about 10 more places Rippy/Rippee name is mentioned.
