Hi dOYLE I found this info in the 1880 census there is a Jacob King age 17 listed it has him listed as boarder the number of people in house is305 he listed with other boardersone place says one boarder at wks in copper house the other is wks at furnace and one just as miner this is listed in Peak Creek Townshipmy book is the Ashe co.North Carolina. hope this helps Audrey ASheet1
