    1. William H. May; Ashe County, NC
    2. Hello May Family & Ashe County Historians, I am looking for information on two sons born in Ashe County, North Carolina to William H. May & Alemdia Eller. Their names & information which I am able to offer for hints are: Silas Mercer May born 1878 married Mary Caudill on 12/19/1903 Jacob Fielden May born 1882 married Flora Wallace on January 12, 1901 These men, my Grandfather's older brothers, were sawmill men. Once they left Ashe County, they were never heard of again. He wrote letters from time to time to try to locate them, but was never able to find them. I hope that I have better luck with the cyber-highway with which he did not have an advantage. One of my cousins remembers that his Grandmother thought they moved to Casey County, Kentucky, but we have no conclusive evidence or records to confirm it (Thank you, James). I presume, although not founded, that any children the marriages might have produced are now dead, but Silas & Jacob's grandchildren are very likely living. Thank you for any further help you might offer. Ginny Becker Granddaughter of Walter Raleigh May & Mary Emmaline Hurley

    3. Ginny, Sorry, I can't help you with the May family, but I am interested in your Eller family data. Do you have anything on a Levi Eller of Wilkes County, NC? He married a Lizzie (who might be Elizabeth Davis) on 2 Jan 1860, and they had a son named Com. After Levi died (I think), Lizzie married Payton (Paton) Parsons. Do any of these names mean anything? Thanks for your help, Jack ----- Original Message ----- From: <GBecker400@aol.com> To: <NCASHE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, March 03, 2001 12:50 PM Subject: William H.
