    3. Hi all I was just lookin through the 1870 Ashe Co. Fed. Census and it is remarkable how many middle aged men were missing. I saw many many females as head of households in this census. What a toll the war must have taken on the men of Ashe Co. Does anyone know the death figures for Ashe Co.?
