My gr gr gr grandfather was Hiram Baker was born about 1807 in Ashe Co., North Carolina. He was on a road jury in 1831 with Solomon Stamper, James Baker Jr., and Morris Baker. In 1828 Zachariah and Sally Baker sold Hiram 300 acres of land on a branch of South Fork of New River for $500. On 22 March 1836 he and Jonathan Baker were chain carriers for a survey for property for Morris Baker in Morgan Co., Tennessee. I am trying to find proof that Morris Baker was his father. Kathy
