    3. I checked the "Ashe Co. NC Cemetery Records" and there was no Hurley listed dying about 1900 - 1901. There was a James A. HURLEY, Jr. born 24 Sept. 1878 who died 26 Feb. 1898. He was buried in the James A. Hurley Family Cemetery in Helton Twp., 1.25 miles south of the NC - VA state line. If Lottie was married to him she certainly married young and wasn't married for long. There was another Hurley, Leander, who died in 1898 but he was born in 1837 and was buried in Walnut Hill Twp. so doesn't sound like a good possibility.
