John O., The information that follows is from the VANOVER FAMILY by Greg Vanover 3-Cornelius Vanover #1 Marie Buys #2 Tiney 4-Cornelius Vanover #1 unk #2 Abbigail Mattox 5-Cornelius Vanover was born 1760-1765, in Sussex County, New Jersey. He probably married in western North Carolina. He married Abby Easterd who who was born 1760-1770. She is said to have been Cherokee. Several Eastern Cherokee Applications of Catherine Vanover) Perry's descendants state that Abby Easterd was a full-blooded Cherokee Indian. Any ideas on how or where to check, I have looked in my history room at the books of the Eastern Cherokee Applications, is there more information on microfilm then appears in these books ?
