Darcey There is an old book by Nelly Sherman titled something like "the life of John Calvin Davis". As I recall he was born in KY and married a Catherine Toliver in IN. They moved on to ILL and had many descendants there. There is a picture in the book of John and he is very noticeably Indian. I read part of the book at the Newberry Library in Chicago but was not able to copy any or complete the book because of time. The dates in John Calvin were before the 1800's as I recall.
