    3. I have had several questions about microfilm records from the NC Archives: http://www.ah.dcr.state.nc.us/sections/archives/arch/default.htm This is the address for the home page of the NC Archives. Here you will find their mailing address and e-mail address. You must provide a mailing address as they will not answer by e-mail. Some Ashe county records that are available are: Apprentice Bonds, 1876-1923, 1 reel Bastardy Bonds, 1876- 1880, 1883, 1 reel County Court of Pleas & Quarters, 1806-1866, 2 reels Superior Court Minutes, 1807-1818, 1834-1959 , 10 reels Equity Minutes, 1824-1868: Land Entries, 1870-72; Tax Judgments, 1872-74, 1 reel Record of estates, 1853-1873, 1 reel Record of Settlements, 1869- 1966, 5 reels Index to Births, 1913-1979, 1 reel Index to Deaths, 1913-1979, 1 reel Index to Delayed Births, 1 reel Deeds, 1800-1955, 57 reels Record of Wills, 1816-1966, 3 reels. There is a book that lists all the Counties & All the records available from the Archives for about $12.00. "Guide to Research Materials in the North Carolina State Archives: County Records" It is not necessary to order all the microfilm in a set. For instance there are 3 reels of Wills. The first reel would probably cover most of the early material and you can order just the first reel. Hope this is of some help. Sandra
