    3. Hi Connie, You can get birth, death, and marriage certificates (after circa 1914) from either the Ashe County Courthouse or from the NC Div. of Vital Records. I don't have the current mailing address for the Ashe County Courthouse, but I believe their phone number is (336) 246-8841. For: - births from 1913 - marriages from 1962 - Deaths from 1930 write: The Department of Human Resources Division of Health Services Vital Records Branch Box 2091 Raleigh, NC 27602 ----------------------------------- For deaths 1913 through 1930, write: Archives and Records Section State Records Center 215 North Blount Street Raleigh, NC 27602 (or call 919-733-3526 to verify current fees.) ----------------------------------- Anything prior to that, you will need to write: North Carolina State Archives 109 East Jones Street Raleigh, NC 27611 URL: http://www.ah.dcr.state.nc.us/ ----------------------------------- I hope that helps. - Dave RE: On 28-Apr-01, CMAhlgren@aol.com wrote: > Could someone tell me where I could write to get birth, death and marriage > records for Ashe County, and for North Carolina? > > Thank you very much. > > Connie Ahlgren ====================================================================== Dave Hamm Novi, Michigan email: odon@mail.oeonline.com URL: http://www.oeonline.com/~odon/HamCountry/HAMCountry.html ======================================================================
