    3. Caroline, No, I only saw that error after I read my e-mail when it came back to me. Her parents were Sarah Persel and William Woodie. Sorry about that. Here is all I have on Sarah and the Woodie's: Sarah Woodie/Woody was born 1764 in Surry County, NC, the daughter of William Woodie and Lady Sarah Persel. She married Abner Norris born 12 Jan 1758 in Lunenberg County, VA. Married in 1776. He died in 1843 in Bledsoe County, TN, but I do not have a death date for Sarah. Children: Absolom Norris born 1800 (according to a gal named Donna L. Drummond) White Co., TN and died Jan 1846 Ray Co., MO. Abner about 1805 John about 1784 David born 1800 York Dist., SC who married Rachel......? who was born in 1803 TN James Y. born 1805 Ashe County, NC who married Mary......born 1801 and Sara Ann Pugh. (This information on Abner, John, David, and James comes from Mary Bell of Cumberland Co., TN and Ronald E. Norris of Stilwell, OK. I question whether David and James Y. are actually Abner and Sarah's children. The Norris book by Maj. Davis lists those two as sons of Simon William Norris and Theresa Avery. They also believe Absolom to have been born earlier than 1800. If both Absolom and David belonged to Abner, then they might have been twins. However, it is, in my opinion and Ronald Norris', more likely that Simon William Norris was Abner's son, and David and James belonged to Simon. Simon William was born in 1776. That would have made Sarah a mother at age 14.) Do you have anything on their children that would help here? I would like to have all the information on Abner and Sarah I can get, and their children, too. There is a good deal of confusion here, because Mary Bell of TN almost swears that David and James belong to Abner; while most other researchers still place them with Simon William and Theresa Avery Norris.
