Emma Dowell, d/o Almon Dowell (of Iredell Co NC) who married America Combs in 1855 in Wilkes Co. Believe 1860/70 they are in Iredell, but in 1880 they are in Ashe Co NC. I have a list of siblings, and her husband's name, that's all. ----- Original Message ----- From: LINDA LENHARD To: NCASHE-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Thursday, June 15, 2000 6:31 PM Subject: Re: [NCASHE] Dowell and Blevins Do you have any information on this Emma Dowell -- where she came from, her parents, etc. My Dowells for this time period are in Johnson Co., TN, but the generation before were in Wilkesboro, NC. Hello, Do any of you Farmer descendants have a Margaret E. Farmer who married a Leander Shepherd? Her father was a Thomas Farmer and they are from Asche Co. NC. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Sharon sraelem57@aol.com
Yes, they are familiar. The David shows up twice as in yours. The closest one is Bina Farmer m Rufus Rosecrantz Elliott. They lived in Ashe co; showed up in horse twsp they had nine children; moved to Skagit co WA in 1902. I have pix, many newsclippings abt the family. A Fred Boede and Richard Young (both grand children of Rufus and Bina are still living . I know that there are others in Sedro-Woolley/Skagit co., but I have lost contact . My husband was Jack Bratton another Gson of Bina. His mother was Elva Elliott. The Boedes and I have talked abt a trip to Ashe co and look up relatives still living there. Bina's father was Hilton m Martitia Vanzout. Another name pops up for her...Martisha Roten. I am guessing that this two different generations of same family. I have a descendants chart #1 Thomas Farmer b abt 1750 with sons Thomas,Samuel,Beb Isaac,David,William,John. In the 3rd gen, there is a David among 9 children. Let's do more later; this is getting too long. beebonnie1@aol.com

Hi Everyone, I've just added a bunch more Elliotts to the Elliott page from my database. Finally figured out how to include those not related or connected (yet) to the others. If you can help connect any please let me know. Hi Tracy I am searching for the parents of Nancy or Lucinda or Nancy Lucinda Farmer who married Morris Blevins in Grayson County. I suspected my Lucinda was the daughter of either David Farmer or Ahart Farmer. They were the only two Farmers I could find in Grayson County who had a daughter Nancy or Lucinda of the right age. Lucinda and Morris also had a grandson named Ahart. Any information you could furnish to help me prove or disprove Lucinda's parantage would be greatly appreciated. Linda,Roanoke,VA
