    3. Does anyone know how I can find a persons death record when he had died in 1907? Was there any other kind of records kept about deaths? I'm stuck on my GGgrandfathers parents(William Haines Badger)and would like to know if any other kinds of records were recorded anywhere else. I have not been able to find a bible, did Churchs keep such records there in that county? Also was there a Berlin in Ashe co.? Thanks alot Ruby __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Shopping - Thousands of Stores. Millions of Products. http://shopping.yahoo.com/

    2. I don't know if this might work out for you, but funeral homes usally keep records. Some times these are avaible. I am thinking that most deaths after 1900 were handled by a funeral home, but could not say for sure. George Kay

    3. I have been working on the Miller's of Ashe County and would really appreciate more info about your George and Claude Miller. Would you have birth dates for Marlin and Howard? There are a lot of Millers floating around out there without connections. I would like to hear from you with more details. 3. To the lady who inquired about a John WILSON in 1850 Ashe census (sorry, I lost about a dozen e-mails and don't recall all info). I have been advised that I missed the listing for John WILSON and his family (family #1097). Knowing the problems with the 1850 index (all my WEAVERs are listed as WEVER), I should checked all possible WILSON spellings. I didn't check WILLSON in the index. There you will find John WILLSON (spelled with 1 L on census page) and his family, most spelled with 2 L's, including a son John, age 17. Sorry I didn't follow my own rules and caused some confusion as a result. Charlie Weaver, Winston-Salem

    2. It was an unexpected event that was spontaneous because of my interest. I think Roger Petersonm Richard Young and Fred Boede know in depth. My computer is still misbehaving and haven't been able to do serious searches for 3 months. I'll be away for awhile more and then back to searches I hope . beebonnie1@aol.com

    2. Not exactly; the Millers, were Marlin (87) and Howard (85 yrs) with their wives and children. Their father was a George Miller m to Mae Elliott. George had a brother (Claude ) who m Elizabeth Elliott Johnson. They all are of Sedro woolley Wa, where we met at Richard Young's home there. Mae's sister , Vista Elva Elliott Bratton was my mother in law. Richard's mother was Helen Elliott. Fred Boede and Tanya Boede ; his mother was Flossie Elliott picked me up at the airport for a round of visits. Fred's mother died last year; she was the last to survive of the nine children of Bina Farmer and Rufus Elliott. There was another cousin named Roger Peterson and family . I am guessing between 25 to 30 people. It was a reunionof several families withe backgrounds of Ashe co. beebonnie1@aol.com

    3. Only one WILSON, John, shown in 1850 Ashe Co census index, and listing doesn't show a son named John. Since Watuaga Co was formed from Ashe in 1849 I checked there also. There is a John H, age 6, son of Marshal and Elizabeth WILSON. (Watauga 1850, page 115, HH 119, Fam 122). Charlie "John F.
