    3. The following was posted by Alan Murray <classclown@ols.net> on Tue, 28 Dec 1999 on the Alamance County GenConnect Query Forum: - -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Surname: Murray Murrays from Catawba Co. came from Alamance and Orange Counties. Lambert (Lambeth in Alamance 1850 census) and Elizabeth Hainey Murray along with children William Alexander, Alexander Bedford, & Robert Vincent to name a few. These Murrays are the ones that started Murray's Mill in Catawba NC that is now a state historical landmark. They were supposed to have been members of Cross Roads Presbyterian Church north of Mebane. Longs Chapel is mentioned in our history as well. Lambert's parents may have been John and Elizabeth Baldridge Murray and his siblings: Silas, Green, Cornelius, Alfred, Hinton, Calvin, & Celia. Lambert is sometimes referred to as George Lambert although I haven't found anything that puts the name George to him. Can anyone help? - --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Any replies should be sent to the Alamance County GenConnect Query Forum [<http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/NC/Alamance>] unless it is personal or involves live people addresses etc. when it should be sent to Alan Murray <classclown@ols.net>. --
