They must have moved on to Georgia since my grandfather, Sam (or Samuell) Russell is shown as born in Georgia 9/9/1869. Sam Russell moved on to Arkansas where he married Metta Hollingsworth and had three children. Sam is buried in Fort Smith, AR Ever run across any John Russell or Annie (looks like) Mc Carter in the time period between 1840 to 1870 in your area? I sure wish I had some middle names or initials since there are so many John Russell's. Thanks.
