Rippey married to Adeline Alexander. I believe Adeline's name at birth was Mary A. Alexander and was the youngest sister of my grandfather, R. B. Alexander of Charlotte [1840-1913]. John W. Rippey and Adeline [which I believe is Mary's middle name] are mentioned in a law suit in the 1880's as being defendents in a case against Dan Alexander & heirs. A Mrs. John W. Rippey in mentioned also in an obituary [around 1907] of her brother, Charles W. Alexander of Birmingham, AL. THere are Rippeys mentioned in the 1850 census [49A 53A 53B 54A 68! and 68B] but I do not have a copy at hand. Would appreciate any information you may be able to supply.
