Barb, I don't know if this will help you or not, but I do have some McAdams and some Brownings in my extended family tree...Anna Browning was the first wife of a many great Uncle, Thomas Bird, who was a brother of my many gr grandfather, James Bird, also a many great step grandfather, from his second wife, Nancy Hamilton Bradford. Anyway, Anna Browning, born in 1761, Orange; died 1825, Orange. Her parents were John browning, B 1728, died Nov 18, 1803, Georgia, and his wife, Elizabeth Demarest, B 1728. They had the following children: Francis A. Browning, B Nov 24, 1753; John Radford Browning, B May 17, 1757; Joshua Browning B Jan 29, 1758; Anna 1761; Phoebe, Sept 19, 1762; Clara, March 1, 1765, Senah B about 1766, WILLIAM, B 1768; Millicent B 1775. I do not have anything on Anna's siblings except their birthdates. I would suggest that you track down the males here...perhaps your Thomas Franklin was one of their sons or grandsons. Now as to McAdams...my 3gr aunt, Margaret Bradford, married an Eli McAdams. She was born to David Bradford and Elizabeth Carrigan in Orange Co. Eli, born Aug 9, 1817, was the son of David McAdams and Margaret "Peggy" Morrow. They had at least two other children, Caatharine and David. There were possibly more children... His parents were Hugh McAdams and Catrine Scott. Hugh was born in Orange Co in 1737. He was the son of Samuel McAdams, I believe. I would check whether David and Margaret McAdams had more children....they were the same age basically as your Frances. I've got some Pettigrews also...I'll have to go check those in my file and get back to you.
