Jean; There were Witheringtons who migrated to Gibson Co TN also. Somewhere I have information on these Witheringtons, but don't remember offhand where they came from. I believe they married Wilsons, a branch which I have so far not been able to positively connect to our Wilson branch. Marilyn, A John Sutton was living in Houston Co, GA in 1830 in the same area as Robert Worthington (Witherington). John had 2 boys under five, 1 female 10-15 and he and his spouse 20-30. An Allen Sutton in Houston Co, 1830, resided a ways away with 2 males under five, 1 female under five, 1 bet fie and ten and one male 20-30 and 2 females 20-30. In the 1840 census John is gone. This might be the one who died before 1837. Allen is listed as 40-50. Did he just turn 40? In the 1850 census Allen is 51 born in NC with spouse Frances 53 born in GA. The children are William 22; Maryan 24; Martha 21; Hamilton 21?; Seaborn 12; also listed is aCharles Smith 8 and a Sarah Lewis 11. Could these be grandchildren?
