Edwin, With the middle name Hardee I assume you most have a link to the Hardee family. How are you related? Hi Lisa I am sorry to report that I have lost much of my geneaological files. With my hardees I just have back to my second great grandfather Robert Augustus . I will call my grandmother later this morning and repost later. R.A. was in a home guard unit in Florida called the Morton Confederates prior to taking the command in Georgia. He was born in Georgia, went to Florida, returned to Georigia and fought in the above linked unit with his brothers, then after the war went back to Florida. He and his brother pioneered along the east coast, specifically Titusville and Hardeesville. Their first cousin was the governor. Unless you have information on the florida Hardees, which probably aren't your direct ancestors, I doubt you can help me establish a link to the north Carolina Hardees, but I hope you can. I see William Hardee's revolutionary war records are listed in Volume II, No. 1: February 1995 of the Pitt County quarterly. I think he was the father of the confederate General, ! who I am told was a cousin of RA, but I need more research. I am new to internet genealogical research though I have been recieving this email over a year now I think) and am having trouble connecting the links, any help you might have is *greatly* appreciated. I intend to become very active in my research now. and thanks for writing Ed FEONADORF@aol.com wrote:Edwin, With the middle name Hardee I assume you most have a link to the Hardee family.
