Don't forget the PCFR meeting Tuesday night, Jan. 21, at 7:00 p.m. in the conference room at Sheppard Memorial Library. We've been having really good attendance and lots of information exchange and research. Get 2003 off to a good start by coming to the meeting; you might just make that connection that you've been looking for! You don't have to be a PCFR member to attend. Laymond, Eleanor, and I have been gathering names for the surname book and Eleanor has dedicated much time to this project and will probably have it done ahead of schedule, so send your surnames right away. It's already Jan. 19, so you have a very short time in which to get your membership renewal checks in. Remember that they need to be in by Jan. 31 in order to receive the February quarterly. Roger has just returned from a month visiting relatives in Texas and is geared up and ready to get this edition to the printer, so don't miss out on it! Thank all of you who have shared family information this past year. Sometimes we forget to say "thank you" to those who share with us. That's a small price for someone's taking the time to look up information, copy it, and send it to you. PLEASE remember to acknowledge that you have received the information. How many of us have sent information and wondered days, or weeks, later if it was received? It's such a letdown feeling to not have it acknowledged and to get a "thank you." Please let me know if your mailing address and/or email address changes. Our quarterlies are sent by bulk mail; therefore, they do not get forwarded if you move. We are going to have to start charging for the extra quarterlies that are mailed if you don't receive the ones that are sent due to your failure to let us know that your address has changed. Also, when a replacement is sent, please let me know whether you receive it. This will help me keep my records in good order. We are all volunteers and need your help in keeping our organization running smoothly. Thanks for all of your help and cooperation and I look forward to seeing many of you at Tuesday's meeting, and hope to meet many others of you soon.
