    3. I have traced my Pitt Co Whichard line as far back as William E. Whichard (C1845 - 2 Nov 1892). He married Elizabeth (Bettie) Harrison (b. 21 Mar 1847; d. 22 Jan 1926) from Martin County. They had seven children: John David, Sarah Jane, Julian V., Lillie Louise, Lucy, George Washington, and Grover Adalade. I'm looking for someone who has William E. Whichard in their line. Barbara Sullivan

    3. Barbara - I'm familiar with one line of Whichards from Pitt County that is documented in Bob Moore's website, and I've pasted the link below. http://moore.greystar.org/Whichard_Family/whichard_family.html While I don't see a William E. Whichard on his charts, it appears the name was spelled "Whishard" in the late 1700's, and I see a couple of William Whishards as well as a few other given names that match yours below (David, Julian)... these similarities would seem to indicate a common ancestor with yours somewhere along that line.
