Here's my logic for William "E." Whichard being the husband of Elizabeth Harrison of Martin County. The 1870 Federal census has a William E. Whichard (b. C1845) married to Elizabeth (b. C1847) with a son named John who was born C1868. The birth date of Elizabeth and John coincide with the tombstone dates I have for them. Their son John was my great grandfather and his birthdate coincides with the dates I have for him through his tombstone and death certificate. I looked at Bob Moore's site as Bob Forbes suggested. It does look like my line is somehow linked to that one (given names like David and Julian have been used often in my family line). Since I'm stumped from this end I may try looking further back to see if I can work forward. Thanks for the help
