Seeking information on Samuel Lane born about 1800 possibly in Wayne County. He marr Rhody Tomlinson in 1830s probably in Wayne County since that is where she lived. By 1840 census the Samuel Lane family moved to Beaufort County where Samuel and Rhody died. Their children were named: William Riley Lane Mary A Lane John Lane Rhody was daughter of Thomas Tomlinson and Mary "Polly" Rountree. This Tomlinson family lived in the area of Wayne County that became Wilson County. The property Rhody inherited in 1841 (from her father) was located on south side of Contentnea Creek near Daniels Chapel Church. Have searched for over 15 years for these ancestors.... just recently found parents of Rhody and her surname Tomlinson. Help appreciated. Rae Jean ... in Tennessee
