Roger, I really enjoy the articles you're posting about Pitt County (and surrounding) communities. My children grew up in Pactolus, so I forwarded this article to them and they found it so-o-o interesting. They said it answered a lot of questions they have had over the years. They had, of course, visited the old cemetery at Yankee Hall in their early school years; however, they were so young that it didn't have a great impact on them. Thanks to your article, they have renewed curiosity and want to visit it again. Thank you for making history come alive for me and lots of others.
