Folks, Thanks to Sallie Gargis, the 1840 Beaufort Co., NC Census is now online at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncbeafor/1840bo.htm We now have the 1790-1850 Beaufort censuses online and the 1860 census (with index) will be coming very soon. Also, thanks to one of our fellow researchers who kindly donated the 1860, 1870, and 1880 Beaufort County Census "Images" (with special permission from S-K Publications) which are all now online in the USGenWeb Archives at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/nc/beaufort/census/1860/ http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/nc/beaufort/census/1870/ http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/nc/beaufort/census/1880/ These are the original images of the censuses which have been microfilmed, however, there are no indexes for these censuses at present.
