    1. Re: [NC-PCFR] Bland Family

    3. Hi Bill, I have no real information on the Bland family. However, my grandmother's sister, Susan Ann Paramore, married a James Bland. I know my grandmother grew up and married in Pitt County although the Harris family moved to Halifax County around the 1900's. Their parents were Maggie Magnolia Liggett and Joseph Green Paramore, married January 25, 1882. Polly Fisher, my cousin, has done considerable research on the Paramore family and had only a little information on this marriage of Susan Ann Paramore and James Bland (In fact, my father told me his name was Joseph, but he may not have remembered correctly). Polly listed two children for them with no dates: James Bland and Simon Bland. I hope this helps you. I have corresponded with several people who's family line married a Bland, but to date, I have not met or heard from any Bland's from Pitt, Craven or Lenoir Counties. Am I the only Bland interested in genealogy from this area? If not, I sure would like to hear from you and to share information.
