Terry Bland from Brunswick County was up here last week looling for Blands. We visited Hancock Primitive Baptist Church. Christopher Columbus "Kit" Bland is buried there. We also visited the Kit Bland house near Ayden. Terry is to supply me with information on the Blands of Brunswick County. Thanks to the work of Civil War Trails and Mickey Harris there is a marker in Kit Bland's honor for his heroism at Fort Fisher.
