My father's sister, Sally Roberson, married an Eason Biggs from Martin County, NC. They both died many years ago. My father was a younger brother, and he would be 102 if he were still living. Eason Biggs was a member of the well know Biggs family whose ancestor's portrait is in the Martin County Historic Society. I know little about this branch of the family, but there must be a connection between the Easons and the Biggs. Sometimes you can "back into" a family by going through a related family. Try checking the Biggs family in Martin County. There is a researcher in Martin County, Easter Mizell, who has ancestors related to Eason Biggs. She might know something.
