    3. I am posting this again, cemetery remarks in wrong place. Also giving Terry Bland's line back to Barnes Bland. Tuesday, we went with Terry Bland and his father, William Howard Bland to check Bland houses and grave sites. We went to Hancock Primitive Baptist Church where Christopher Columbus "Kit" Bland is buried. They have placed a Civil War Trails marker there honoring him for his heroics at Fort Fisher. He is buried at the church. Next we went to his house at the edge of Ayden and took some pictures. Then on to the Brooks Cemetery near Grifton Barnes Bland's wife Elizabeth is buried there. Their son Joseph John Bland is buried here also. They looked at what PCFR had in the file and were able to get some help. I hope to get more information from them on the Blands who went to Brunswick County, NC A number of Pitt County families moved down there also. Terry Bland's line as follows: Terry Bland William Howard Bland Luther Carson Bland Christopher Columbus Bland William Augustus Bland Barnes Bland Bill
