    2. My most profound congratulations and expression of gratitude for the many years you had dedicated yourself to your project. The work you have done has and will provide valuable information that will be invaluable in strenghtening our bonds to our ancestors for many many years. I know you have enjoyed your work, but I know also that you must surely have wondered when cold, wet, tired, and wrapped in brambles if this work had any value. It most assuredly did have value and I hope you will absorb and be energized by this award and knowing how much you have meant to so many folks. I must add that Bill has put enormous energy into Genealogy and more importantly has, without any trace of selfishness, shared the bounty of his work and given of himself. I really appreciate Bill Kitterell and only wish I could have been of help to him but am just too far away. Congratulations, and God Speed. John B. 3. Bill -- I'll add my congrats to Mr. Grimes' well-written note and a special thanks for inspiring me to relocate and care for the gravesites of some of my ancestors--- an event that you helped to preserve for perpetuity via photos in the back of your book. You've shown us all that it's good to learn and remember how we got here, and in the process, honor some of the souls who helped to pave the way. Many thanks for leading our efforts..
