Bill, Is that a lot # for the old City of Greenville Town map? If it was, then the cemetery could no longer be there, unless they built a store on top of it. Lot #104 would have been on the northeast corner of 4th Sreet and Evans Street according to the map. It is now a paved parking lot. Bill, I guess other towns had lot numbers, but what other town in Pitt County would have had 104 lots in 1825. Seems like it has to be in Greenville. Greenville's old town lots were mostly 1/2 acre in size. That is a possibility. There use to be an old Smith cemetery in this area. Also there were several graves moved to Cherry Hill Cemetery. One was a very old one and I cannot recall his name. The grave is on the back side of Cherry Hill at the bottom of the hill. Will check that name. Will get Roger's article on Greenville grave sites that is in the cemetery survey.
