    2. Bill Kittrell
    3. Does anyone have any more information on this family. I have a little more on the sons. James Buck b. ca 1755 (some records state 1743, not sure of birth date) d. ca 1801 m. Penelope Newman, d/o John Newman. Lived near Greenville on the Tar River. Beaufort County Deed Book 5 page 370 Feb 17, 1781 John Newman to James & Penelope Buck Information below may have come from the book: "James Buck and Penelope Newman of Pitt County, NC by Camellus Wilson Buck" "The fruits of the marriage of James Buck and Penelope Newman was a large family of children, seven of whom were sons, namely: John, Cornelius, Morgan, Humphrey, Wiley, Hunter and James. Three daughters were also born to them, who married, one a Little and remained in North Carolina, one a Baldwin and settled in Mobile, Ala, and the other married Naboth Nelson and settled with him in Alabama. We have been unable to glean any information of the families of these daughters, except that the Baldwins had two sons, Henry and Marshall, who became prominent businessmen in railroad and steamboat circles, one being a high official of the Mobile and Ohio Railroad and the other becoming captain of a boat that plied the Mississippi River before the Civil War."
