States her mother's father was Hosea Knox, came from Greenville, NC to Spartansburg, Ind about 65 years ago. His father's name was Williams, who had a brother named Allison Knox. Hosea Knox had four brothers: William, Redie, James and Adam and two sisters, Lavinis (Vineie), and Mary. William Knox m. Margett Moor in Warren County. They settled later in Edgecombe county near the Pitt line. My grandfather Hosea Knox had nine children: Charlotte (my mother), Lavinia, Mary Ann, John, James, Harriett, Samuel, Hosea, Margaret and Martha My parents are still living and hope to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversay Jan 27, Valentine Knox Horn, my oldest brtoher. My grandfather's sistersmarried brothers Jesse and Willie Whitley.
