The following Vincent/Vinsons are named as heirs of JOHN W. VINSON of Pitt County, North Carolina in 1846 Sheriff's papers to collect expenses from the following: Norphlett (Norflete)Vinson; Sarah Vinson; Speirs Vinson; Kelie Vinson; Hasty Vinson; Joshua Vinson; Lucinda Vinson; Mariah Vinson; and Susan Vinson Norflete Vinson was my great grandfather born circa 1814. I am trying to prove or disprove that John W. Vinson of Pitt who married Sabrina Dentie(or Denty or Dent) was his father. Norflete married Nancy Reel Hill. Lucinda Vinson married a Wainwright. Susan Vinson never married. There is definitely a relation between John W. Vinson and one or more of the several Drury Vinsons floating around NC at that time.
