    2. James Arthur Davis Sr. KINSTON - James Arthur Davis Sr., 79, of Kinston passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009. Born in Greene County on August 15, 1929, he was the son of the late Arthur and Nola Clemmons Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Davis. Mr. Davis was a Licensed Electrician and was employed by Flour Daniels. He served his Country during the Korean Conflict and was a member of New Testament Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Sue Carol Baker Davis of the home; sons, James Arthur Davis Jr. and wife Jalaine, of La Grange, Timothy Alan Davis and wife Kim, Jeffrey Michael Davis and wife Carol, all of Kinston and David Edward Davis and wife Lorie, of Ayden; grandchildren, Michelle Davis, Josh Davis, Jeffrey Davis, Faith Davis, Tyler Whitehurst, Josh Hardison, Jeremy Hardison, Jonathan Inthalansy, Jaime Inthalansy, Cody Smith, and Joshua Smith; great-grandchild, Madelyn Reese Cash; sisters, Hilda Eubanks of Chattanooga, Tenn., Franc! es Allison and Lew Bradshaw, both of Kinston; brother, Lyn-wood Harper Davis of Hookerton; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at Howard-Carter Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at New Testa-ment Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Daniels officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Testament Baptist Church, 126 Neuse Road, Kinston, NC 28501. Arrangements by Howard-Carter Funeral Home.
