Jack, We at PCFR will be delighted to have you join us and hope you will attend our Reunion in October.You may download a form for joining PCFR from our website: http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncpcfr Memberships are for the calendar year (Jan. 1 - Dec. 31). If you join for 2002 now, you will receive the Feb., May, and Aug. 2002 Quarterlies in your welcome package, and the year will finish out Dec. 31, 2002. Dues for 2002 are $20. The membership for 2003 begins Jan. 1, 2003 and dues for 2003 will be $30. There is not a registration form for the Reunion on the PCFR Website. I will type one up in a separate e-mail and post it on this list.For those of you who are not members and didn't get the newsletter that was sent out with the Aug. Quarterly, here's some information on the Reunion. The 2002 PCFR Reunion will be held Oct 11 and 12, 8:30 a.m., in the Fellowship Hall at Hooker Memorial Christian Church. The address is 1111 Greenville Blvd., Greenville, NC. Registration is $15. Krispy Kreme doughnuts and coffee will be provided Fri. and Sat. morning, and a catered lunch will served Saturday on site. On Friday night, those who would like to do so, will meet at 6:30 p.m. at Parker's Restaurant at 3109 S. Memorial Dr., Greenville, NC. Everyone will pay for his own meal Friday night. Parker's menu offers NC Barbeque, fried or barbequed chicken, and seafood. Your choice will be served with boiled potatoes, slaw, brunswick stew, corn sticks and hushpuppies. You may order from the menu. Please indicate on your registration if you wish to eat with the group at Parkers on Fri. night. We have reserved a private room, but need to make reservations for the number of diners we will have. On Friday we will have PCFR family files and other resources at the Reunion site, so you can research and exchange information with others. Transportation will also be provided to and from the courthouse, Sheppard Memorial Library, and Joyner Library at ECU. We will have a copy machine on site.On Saturday we will have a short business meeting to install the new officers. The rest of the day will be for research, information exchange, and fellowship....meet some new cousins and visit with ones you already know. For those of you who would like to have some of your old family photos scanned and added to the Picturing Pitt County Collection at Sheppard Memorial Library, please gather them together and take them to the Reunion site on Saturday. Eleanor Allen will be scanning photos for this project on that day. If you would like to participate in this please e-mail Eleanor and have her send you a form so you can list your photos and identify them before you come to Reunion. Bring the completed form with the photos. This will save a lot of time for Eleanor on scanning day.
