My Mary Lula Tyson and William Baker were married in 1886 in Beaver Dam, Pitt County. I have not heard of Drake. The names you mention do not sound like Pitt names at least in that area. You had Crawford, Willoughbys, Nichols, Suttons, Smiths, Tysons and Joyners in that area. I have a friend who works for Soil Conservation service, will ask him when I see him Sunday. He pretty well knows all the waterways. I do stump him once in a while.
