Back in June I asked if there was anyone down there in Pitt County who could do a huge favor for me. I know that June and July are very busy times for all of you and I am sure that that is why I have not had any responses to my request. I have an ancestor, JOSIAH WRIGHT, who died in the Greenville area in Feb. 1792 and is buried in the Cherry Hill Cemetery. He is my brick wall. I do not know the year he was born or the names of his parents. IF I knew the year he was born it would help me immensely & might break down that wall. What I am hoping for is someone who could dig around the front of the stone to find out if either it had a birthdate for him OR tell his age at death. I would be willing to pay you to do this for me and would be eternally grateful! Oh, one more question - could someone give me the address of the Pitt Co. Genealogical Society, please? I have just completed a book on my Wright Family Genealogy and Allied Families and would like to give a copy to your society. Thank you so very, very much.
