Jun/Jul 1850, d. 21 Jan 1904, bur. Grifton Town Cemetery, Pitt Co? I recently found several pieces of his old marble tombstone scattered around near his gravesite, some buried, and was able to piece them back together like a jigsaw puzzle and put the tombstone back on his grave. It looks like a piece of Swiss cheese standing there with lots of holes in it, but at least it's back where it belongs. If anyone will be close to any census records soon, especially the 1900 Pitt or Lenoir Co. censuses, would you please look him up and let me know if you find him? I'll look too the next time I get to Heritage Place. Thanks. > >Jim Gaddis > >
