This message is being posted for Martha Shipman. Joseph Craven BRIDGER (b. 1821), son of Robert BRIDGER and Nancy MOYE grew up in an orphanage. Was there an orphanage or care center maintained in Pitt County in the 1820s (perhaps by the Tysons/Tisons)? Any help will be appreciated Martha Shipman wdsjr@carolina.net
