    3. Marmaduke Roberson lived in Bertie Co. about the same time as Henry Roberson lived in Martin. If there is a tie between them, it has never been discovered. Many believe that Marmaduke was a son of Henry. I believe they were related, but most likely brothers. I have seen a couple of records on Marmaduke, but haven't kept them. I will pay closer attention and report anything I see again to you. By the way, there is an estate record for a Marmaduke Roberson in the State Archives, I believe in the Bertie loose paper folder. It was donated by someone from Cheyenne, Wyoming. The record was only for a horse, a saddle and a gun. There is a will somewhere for in eastern NC Marmaduke that shows a larger estate. The record from Wyoming could be for Marmaduke, Jr. JO

    3. Thanks, Jo! Someone from our Wilson family seems to have gone to Martin Co. just have not tied it all together yet. However have recently made a breakthrough in Bertie Co. where we had a piece of land on Cashie swamp with no sale record and not mentioned in the 1745 will of William Wilson. We have just found that land in the hands of a Wilson previously thought to be unrelated. William evidently had a number of children from an earlier wife to whom he had given land along the way. This guy was a serial husband. The Robinsons and even more so the Davisons seem to be tied into James Wilson, another son unmentioned in the will.
