I did a little work for a family out of Tenn. that was searching for Danial Buntin. If he is the same one he is in the Colonial Records several times concerning the Lewelling Conspiracy. There is many documents at the archives concerning the Conspiracy. A Danial Buntin is arrested and held for a witness against some of the conspirators. Very interesting case. This Danial Buntin left and moved to Tenn. as did some of the others in this case. He lived on the Martin and Edgecombe border and is in both records I believe. John Lewelling was the only one that was held and finally went to trial. He was sentenced to hang, but a plea from his wife and some substantial men of the Martin and Edgecombe Co. area, saved his life. This was also know as the "Gourd Patch" Conspiracy. Hope this helps.
