    1. [NC-PCFR] September Meeting
    2. Brenda Stocks
    3. The September meeting for Pitt County Family Researchers will be next THURSDAY night, Sept.19 at Sheppard Memorial Library at 7:00 pm. Our regular meeting night would have been Tuesday Sept. 17, but Sheppard is having an event that night and needs the conference room. In October, we do not have a regular meeting because we have our annual meeting and Reunion on Oct. 11 and 12 at Hooker Memorial Church. Those who wish to attend the Reunion and haven't sent in your registration form need to do so soon so we can arrange the catered lunch for Sat. and make reservations for you for the Friday night dinner if you wish to attend that. If you've misplaced your registration form, e-mail Janice jtginnc@cox.net or me bstocks@cox.net and mail your $15 registration fee to PCFR P.O. Box 20339 Greenville, NC 27858-0339 We look forward to seeing each of you who are planning to come....our local members, members who travel to join us for this weekend, and guests. The meeting seems to get better every year! I have met a lot of friends over the years at this meeting. Some I only see once a year at the Reunion. This makes it a very special weekend for me! Some members are already mailing in their dues for the year Jan. 1, 2003-Dec. 31, 2003. Whenever you do send your check for 2003, please remember the dues have been increased to $30 starting in 2003. As I explained in an earlier newsletter, this increase is necessary to cover ever growing printing costs and postage. This is the first increase in dues since our inception in 1994. Several of our local members attended the first meeting of Heritage Genealogy Society at Heritage Place Library in Kinston, NC last week. This group is researching Greene Co., Lenoir Co., and Jones Co., NC. They certainly had a great first meeting with about forty people present. Their meetings will be held the second Thursday of the month at Heritage Place Library on the Lenoir County Community College campus. The meetings start at 7:00 pm. Brenda
