Hi Betty, Can't seem to be in town enough to get to my meetings. I love them so much, but family calls. I noticed discussions of Llewellyn's conspiracy and I think, Gourd Patch. I have proven the Llewellyn connection now and am interested in that info. Sorry to be so late to the party, but really want to know the best place to glean stories connected to it and the other people involved. thanks. bb ----- Original Message ----- From: <Rea11bak2gen@aol.com> To: <NC-PCFR-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, September 20, 2002 8:51 PM Subject: Re: [NC-PCFR] Thomas Wallis in Pitt County: cv1langley@apl > > > If you are not familiar with the term warrant, it is simply a legal direction > to a surveyor, granting him the authority to proceed with the survey of the > land in question. > > http://genealogy.about.com/mbody.htm > Go to this site and click on Land Records, there will be several site listed. > Look until you find the one dealing with land grants and it will tell you all > you need to know about deeds and grants. > Betty Reason > Edgecombe Genealogical Society > Surnames: Baker, Grizzard, Hobbs, Webb, Pittman, Walston, Harrell > Surnames: Reason, Cook, Mooring, Teachey, Carraway. > > Their seed shall remain forever and their glory shall not be blotted out. > Their bodies may be buried in peace, but their names liveth forevermore. > > > ==== NC-PCFR Mailing List ==== > Post to this mail list at: NC-PCFR-L@rootsweb.com > Visit the PCFR website at http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncpcfr > Browse our rich collection of old family photographs, private documents, and public records. > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 >
