I am trying to sort out some of the W(e)itheringtons in the 1880 census. District 79, Pollocksville, Jones Co, NC In the home of James Ringold there is listed a Wm Wetherington, SSon, 23 (helping his Father In Law) and a Jane who most likely is his spouse shown as DauL A GDau 9M is also listed. It seems as though Wm should be the Son in law. I have a marriage for James Ringold and Nancy Worthington/Witherington for 31 August 1862. Was James married before 1862 or was Nancy married before??
