Tonight I went to the Thanksgiving mass where the priest who is from Pennsylvania mentioned an old Pennsylvania Dutch saying that I had heard before but had forgotten. It touched my heart again and I wanted to share with y'all as it is so appropriate as we celebrate Thanksgiving. The old saying is simply this: "I wish you enough". I wish you enough. Enough what you might be thinking. Well, I wish you enough sunlight to brighten your days but I wish you enough rain so that you are truly thankful for the sunshine. I wish you enough joy but I wish you enough pain so that you will be truly thankful for the good times. I wish you enough gain but I wish you enough loss so that you will be truly thankful for all you possess. I wish you enough hello's but I wish you enough goodbyes so that you will be truly thankful for the hello's ...... I wish you all enough! Happy Thanksgiving, Tracy
